Hmmm well I haven't had a real update in a while...Last Saturday I went to Sandy's for a Labor Day-type thing, that was fun. I brought my net and killing jar and everyone was helping me find bugs. Sandy and Vicki kept pointing out bugs, and Ricky, Brandon and Caitlin all helped me catch some. Brandon, Cait and I caught this big-ass cicada killer, that was sweet. It was funny b/c we were all scared of this damn bug...it's pretty much like a 3-inch long wasp with a giant stinger...anywho, Cait and I left early to go to the Jimmy Eat World concert. The first band that went on, Swiss Army, sucked, and the second band (Paris, Texas) was good but I didn't know anything by them so it got old after a few songs. JEW was good, but they played A LOT of new stuff that I didn't know...but hey it was only $15, can't go wrong there...
Cait spent the night Saturday, we got pokey stix and played SceneIt, which is an awesome game by the way...Sunday we got up and went to Panera. The plan was to go see Harry Potter at the IMAX, but apparently the IMAX movies are on a buffed-up schedule and the last day they showed it was Saturday...if we had known we would have gone then! But it was OK, b/c we saw Napoleon Dynamite instead and I loved it! After the movie we stopped at Urban Outfitters and I got a cute tank top and skirt for only $30...yay. And I can wear the skirt with my fairy costume! (For Halloween, I don't plan on randomly running around dressed like a fairy...) Then we stopped at Media Play, Cait got a bunch of CD's and I got Pocahontas and Fox and the Hound...they were having a Disney sale gimme a break...
Yeah...so Monday I went to the Renaissance Fest w/ Kaytee...I love that place so much! And Kaytee used to work there, so we hung out w/ her friends the Pirates and thieves and the King...odd combo I guess, but it was fun. I bought 2 sweet rings, and a flower garland thing for my hair (also good for the fairy get-up)...good times. It was kinda sad though b/c I won't see her until at least January b/c she's going to SCOTLAND!!! So jealous...lol she is so going to love it there, I hope she comes back!
Nothing too exciting happened during the week...classes and what-not...my LBS 347 class seems pretty sweet. It's super-long name is "Advances in Applied Biology: An Apprenticeship in MSU's Cystic Fibrosis Research Lab." So I should be a cystic fibrosis expert pretty soon...fun stuff.
Thursday I just hung out at the house. I watched Joey and The Apprentice, and a few new scholars came and we had a chat. Sidor and I were talking by the mailboxes and all of a sudden I was like "Ooh that's a cool bug!" And I bent down and caught this clear-greenish cricket-like thing. This class is turning me into a freak...But I was kinda disappointed b/c I thought Sidor said Cody was coming up tonight, but I think he prolly said tomorrow. Seein' as I haven't seen either one of them like all day, plus tomorrow's the first home football game... So maybe I'll actually do something fun tomorrow for a change. That would be just super, I am so insanely bored right now and it's Friday night! WTF?! Rachel's spending the night, but she didn't want to go to the bar b/c she's tailgating and going to the game tomorrow. But Jay said something about going to the bar this weekend, so hopefully that will work out. OMG I miss Dana and Des so much right now!! LOL oh yeah and I'm pissed, I came back from QD and not only did someone take my parking spot (I don't have an official spot, but I have 2 spots I like to park in) but there was not one spot in the whole fucking parking lot!!! So I'm totally blocking like 4 cars in where I parked, but they'll just have to deal with it, or come tell me to move my damn car and maybe I will. I think everyone knows which car is mine, it is the only orange one...
All right, I'm out, maybe I'll pop in a movie or something...
