Well let's see...my classes so far have been all right. Definitely some interesting ones...my Spy Teach professor was naming us off as we came into the classroom yesterday. She said she had our "secret dossiers" and that some of us seemed to be in disguise. THis one guy came in late and didn't realize what she was doing, and she said,"Jared? Your hair used to be longer, and you didn't have glasses." He looked around and was like,"You just scared the shit out of me!" It was funny... Then in my entomology lab we were told we had to collect specimens of insects over the semester. We had to check out a butterfly net, a spreading board to help pin winged insects, and a "killing jar." He recommended we should carry the killing jat around with us in case we see anything interesting on the way to or from class. Yeah...and I had to walk home carrying this gay net, looking like a douchebag... Luckily we got done early, b/c normally I would just walk to my next class from the lab, and I was very grateful I didn't have to bring it to genetics w/ me. But tomorrow we're going on a "field trip" to look for bugs and he said we might want to bring our nets w/ us. I DON'T THINK SO! Maybe, just maybe, if I get done w/ Spy Tech early and have time to come home, but I'm not bringing that damn net to another class. I have, however, been carrying my killing jar in my backpack...
Then last night I went to a meeting for the Honors Option for Genetics. What's this, you say? Lazy-ass MaryBeth doing more work than necessary? That's ludicrous! Well, it's an out-of class sort of seminar thing, and one of the sessions is about DNA analysis and forensics, and since that's what I want to do with my life, I figured I'd check it out. Last night was just the informational meeting, and I think I'm going to do it. We have to attend a certain number of 2-week sessions (We would just meet 2 Tuesday nights in a row), but I can't go to the first session b/c the Fleetwood Mac concert is on the second Tuesday of the session. So that's definitely more important, I think. I should probably buy tickets for that, btw. Maybe if I ever get any money...I need to buy my Genetics book first b/c I have homework due on friday...how sad is that, I can't afford to do my homework.HA. Well I guess I'm gonna go now, I have class..yippy
